Before polishing the marble, proper preparations are essential to achieve a smooth and flawless finish. Begin by inspecting the floor for any cracks. If found, fill them with marble crack filler and allow it to dry completely. Once set, sand the repaired areas gently with marble-grade sandpaper. This will ensure a seamless surface. Be careful not to scratch the surrounding material. Next, thoroughly clean the floor using a dry mop to remove loose dust and debris. Follow this with a damp mop. Use a pH-neutral floor cleaner to eliminate stubborn dirt and dust particles. Pay special attention to corners and hard-to-reach areas. These steps will ensure the surface is well-prepared for the polishing process, resulting in a polished, elegant finish.
Application Method for Terranova Marble Polish:
Pour the Terranova polish into a spray bottle for easy application. Carefully apply the polish using a floor polishing machine. It is important to note that polishing should only be performed by a trained professional. Improper use may lead to accidents. This is due to the slippery nature of the surface during polishing.
Use masking tape or appropriate coverings to protect areas where the polish should not be applied. Begin polishing from one corner of the floor. Spray a light, even coat of Terranova polish onto the surface and immediately pass the floor polishing machine over it. Continue buffing until the polish dries and a glossy finish appears.
Repeat the process across the entire floor to achieve a consistent shine.
Maintenance Tips:
- Use neutral pH cleaner daily (e.g., Taski R2) for cleaning polished floors.
- Avoid acidic cleaners which damage the polish.
- Reapply polish every 1–6 months depending on foot traffic and wear.
- Read MSDS before use chemicals.
- USE PPEs for safety
